YMCA of Greater Toledo
As a volunteer intern at the Frank and Shirley Dick Family YMCA, you will play an essential role in supporting programs that engage, educate, and inspire children, teens, and families. This internship provides the opportunity to gain valuable hands‑on experience while earning program hours in a dynamic community setting. Responsibilities may include: Assisting with the preparation, execution, and cleanup of YMCA events and programs. Interacting with participants to ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment. Setting up materials and equipment for activities. Supporting or leading activities under staff guidance. Monitoring safety and helping maintain a positive atmosphere. Assisting with registration and participant check‑in. Offering general support to YMCA staff as needed.

Promote Youth Development; assist in delivering programs that contribute to the social, emotional, and physical growth of young people, enhancing their skills and confidence. Ensure Safe and Positive Experiences; maintain a safe, nurturing environment by adhering to safety protocols and monitoring participants' well-being throughout the event. Support YMCA Values; promote the YMCA's core values, ensuring that programs align with the organization's mission. Expand Volunteer and Participant Impact; encourage volunteer collaboration and community outreach, increasing the number of families and youth served by the YMCA programs.
